As we begin 2019 and prepare for our first Member Event on February 28th, I want to thank everyone for your support, participation and sincere interest in promoting good will and financial assistance to Village residents of Garden City and the important causes GCRE supports. 2019 promises to be a rewarding, and FUN time for our Members and the Board of Trustees looks forward to working with everyone as we prepare for our Annual Fundraising Gala set for October 2019 supporting Mollies Fund of Garden City.
To continue the expansion of the Foundation and its philanthropic efforts the Board of Trustees have taken steps for 2019 to increase Foundation awareness, provide value to our existing and future members and focus on efficient ways to raise money and support worthy causes effecting residents of Garden City. .
- The Board intends to continue coordinating our exclusive networking / social events and have planned three (3) such events for this year………….the first is set for February 28th.
- In addition to the three (3) social events planned, GCRE will hold its annual gala fundraising event this October supporting the Mollies Fund of Garden City
- All Members will be included in our professional membership directory where high level introductions are encouraged amongst our membership
- The Board is in the process of establishing a scholarship committee to raise funds, establish criteria, and ultimately select candidates for these sponsorships. (anyone interested in Chairing the Committee please let me know)
Over the past 2 years, the Board of Trustees has funded the costs of operating the Foundation, today we need your help. We have established an annual membership fee of just $250.00 to help cover administrative costs and hope that you can support this.
Finally, the Board has appointed Trustee Sal Ciaravino as the Membership Chairperson. Membership is open to those persons our Members feel would be a welcome addition to our group, are current residents of Garden City and are active in the commercial real estate business in any facet.
